campsite near Périgueux
We’re delighted to welcome you to our pretty little family campsite in Dordogne-Périgord. With its calm, unspoilt nature and riverside setting, we hope to charm you… or at least make you forget your alarm clock and emails. Nestling in the heart of an authentic environment, the campsite offers you pleasant pitches (spacious, even if you decide to pitch your tent “artistically”) and services designed for your comfort.
Take advantage of its ideal location in the heart of Périgord Vert to explore Périgueux, Sarlat, Hautefort, the local markets and the heritage and landscapes for which the area is famous. Whether you come with your family, as a couple or with friends, everyone finds their own rhythm here… even if it’s a siesta.

Family campsite with starred services
The Le Clupeau team is always on hand, ready to welcome you with a smile (and sometimes a cup of coffee). To make your stay even more pleasant, we’ve thought of everything: restaurant-guinguette, bar and ice creams for gourmet breaks – essential on vacation, of course. Every morning, your bread is delivered directly to your pitch, a little Perigordian luxury.
When it comes to leisure activities, you’re spoilt for choice: playground, billiards, table soccer, table tennis, communal barbecues… enough to keep the whole tribe busy! Washing machine and tumble dryer are available at an extra charge (because wet socks are funny… two minutes).
Looking for adventure? Rent a canoe or paddle to explore the river. A supermarket and bakery are located in Hautefort (4 km).
And for children, high chairs are available at the restaurant, and baby kits are available at extra cost for accommodations!

Campsite with “Accueil vélo” label in Périgord
Ideally located near the Flow Vélo, our Accueil Vélo campsite is the perfect break for all cyclists: solo, duo, family or even pedal-powered tribe. Our large pitches with electricity allow you to put your Tent and luggage down without playing Tetris, while your parents enjoy the calm and security of the site.
Here, you can ride with peace of mind: a secure bike area, tourist information, itinerary advice, recharging points, snack bars… everything you need to pedal lightly. After your effort, the river awaits you for a swim that makes you say “aaah, that feels good!
Discover our little cycling village: cosy, practical cabins designed with adventure in mind.
And to recharge both cyclist and machine, think about half-board so that you can really get your feet under the table.

At Le Clupeau, your dog isn’t just accepted: he’s welcomed as a fully-fledged member of the family. Access is free for all four-legged friends, from energetic puppies to quiet old companions.
Cool off and let off steam
The Auvézère River is accessible to dogs and masters alike for a swim in the heart of nature. An off-leash area allows your companion to exercise in complete safety. Lanyards are available at reception for dogs needing a little more freedom, but still under control. Water bowls are also available throughout the campsite.
Explore the surrounding area
Forests and footpaths are less than 200 metres away. And for excursions further afield, Périgord abounds with ponds, gorges and forests to discover together.

In the village of Cherveix-Cubas, just a stone’s throw from the campsite, you’ll find everything you need for your stay: pharmacy, doctor and a charming Saturday morning market, perfect for filling your basket with good Périgord produce.
Just 5 km away, Hautefort completes the picture with its supermarket, bakery and many other essential services.
And for our motorhome friends, a word of warning: you can’t change your oil at the campsite, but a dedicated service area awaits you at Hautefort, easily accessible and well-equipped.
